There is a God, but someone better warn him about me

I was coming home from a Basketball game and decided to take the subway the other night. It was packed with people of all ages, race, and economic standing. As I was people watching, I noticed an elderly couple get on the train. I was already standing but was curious to see if anyone would get up to let them sit down. Tears came to my eyes as I watched....a mother with her son moving to make room, another rough and tired looking gentleman who seemed to be coming home from a long 9 hour work day stood up, another middle-aged mother offered her seat, and a young teenager offered his.

I thought to myself just when you give up hope in humanity, especially with all that you hear in the news, you can't help but believe there is a God and he works in mysterious ways. I still think people are inherently good.

With that said......my cats were running around at 4am and I could not get any rest last night. I yelled out loud, "God, why can't you give me peace!" I haven't slept great in days and it is wearing on me....

Like any relationship, I suppose we have our ups and downs. I like to think that I can bring my happy moments and even my worst moments to Him and he will let me vent. Yes, I'm a woman of faith. I don't go to church as much as I should, and no, I haven't read the entire Bible, but I believe in Him. I think that just a little faith goes a long way....
